When Having Faith in Your Destination is The Best Ingredient!

I read this quote just now and it really resonated with me. Nearly a year ago I shared my dream for If Everyone Cares, I had no idea how I could make it a reality, in all honesty I still don’t !

Faith ~ Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.

When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it’s time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.
~ Edward Teller
Throughout the journey I have kept my faith in the fact that one day the Global Community Map will become reality. It will become a resource that benefits, supports, enriches … … … lives around the globe.
In March 2011, after a conversation with two friends I took a leap of faith in the full knowledge that if I did not make the idea public it would end up becoming a ‘Someday Dream’. Something that I would either keep putting off until frustration drove me to take action, or that I would leave so long that someone else would do it, or that no-one else would take action and one day I would look back on and wish I had!
There have been days when I have questioned my sanity! Many days when I have said a prayer and asked for guidance. This last few weeks have held a few of those days, along with moments of pure gratitude. Life throws curve balls and it is in those moments that faith and mini-miracles provide the next surge of energy and action to keep pushing forward.

I won’t bore you with details, as I can have the ability to waffle & I know your time is precious.

So today I wanted to share a few of the little miracles that prop me up when the light seems a bit dim and I struggle to see the next steps.

The first is the quote above – it reminded me that to date there has always been a solution just around the corner, sometimes I just have to have faith that I may not be able to see the answer – but it is there. It brought to mind the quote ~

Don’t Quit Five Minutes Before the Miracle!

Then I saw a post in a group called The Women of Facebook

One Beat … One Team

Do you know why teams win…? …Heart… One Beat… One Team… E.P.I.C. Anything can happen when we’re committed to our dreams/goals! Be not afraid… Take action NOW and see things change in your life!

The If Everyone Cares Team started with just three people, myself and two amazing volunteers. Then through the use of Social Media the team has grown to include some amazing people, from around the world, who support us through the use of that very same Social Media. Most of us have never met or even talked – they just believe in the aims, they see the potential and the positive power for Individuals & Communities around the globe.

Next – I saw a comment from one of my facebook friends – Linda Curtis

Linda’s Post that Gave A Nudge!

You may, or may not, be aware that it is only a few years since fear used to paralyse me. I was what I would call a ‘functioning agoraphobic’ – meaning that I only left my home if I had to and there were only two places I felt safe – my home and my car.

Linda’s comment nudged me into remembering that

My continued strength and extraordinary joy in life comes from actually doing the big and little things I avoided before and surviving.

Those words really resonated.

So to answer Linda’s question – Today I am pushing against my comfort zone, I am going to take one day at a time in full belief and knowledge that the answers, the solutions are around the corner – I really need to remember that.

If Everyone Cares is doing really well, everyday genuine awareness is growing  for our goals. Our video entry into Richard Branson’s Challenge to “Screw Business As Usual”, on Virgin Unite,  is still number 3 on the leader board – Thank you so very much for your continued support – it really is making a difference. There are just over five weeks of voting left – and every vote and tweet makes a difference – in fact your vote could be the one that makes all of the difference.

Now I could waffle on – but I won’t –  please leave a comment below, please tell me why you support If Everyone Cares – each of your comments is the fuel that gives me the motivation to keep going and I truly appreciate it :)

In Gratitude

 and the Team at IEC
